Chris, his sister Holly and I spent last Saturday in New Orleans to get a little more Halloween in before it was all over. Truth be told, Chris and I had a hidden agenda: to get tattoos!

So that is my very first tattoo! It didn't really hurt as much as I thought it would, and I LOVE the way it turned out. I'm definitely down for more in the future, I already have a little collection of inspiration! Chris got a little skull on his knee, but he's had star tattoos on his shoulder since he was 18, so he wasn't as nervous/excited as I was. Afterwards, we went to Juan's Flying Burrito for dinner, then headed to the French Quarter for a Haunted History Tour. I took my Pentax Super ME along for the ride and took one roll of color film, which is what you see above (tattoo photo is from my iPhone), and also one roll of black and white when we actually went on the tour. I have to send the black and white off to be developed, since it's true black and white film and we have nowhere near here that still develops the stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to get them back soon and share them! I was using a flash, which I've never used on a film camera before, so I hope they turned out! Maybe I even caught some ghosts on film!

I love my some Halloween in New Orleans, not that I'm biased because I live here. :)
