How was your weekend? Chris attended a BBQ-boys-only-video-game-a-thon on Saturday which left me with a lot of time to watch some Paranormal State, paint my nails, go shopping and hit the gym. Sunday, one of my best friends from Mobile, whom I've known since freshman year of highschool, came to visit with another friend to see our apartment and check out what I've been designing at work! We had a blast running around the city, taking pictures, eating yummy Vietnamese food, walking around the casino and topping off the day with snow cones. Pictures coming soon! In other news, I am excited about a lot of things happening soon, and hopefully I'll be able to share them with y'all!

Thank God Monday's OVER! Is it Friday yet?

I changed my blog around a bit... again. It's just this thing with me; I have to update things, move them around, every month or so. I've been working at the Beau Rivage since December and I've already rearranged my desk at least 4 times. I don't know what it is, but I love the refreshing feeling of having everything turned a different way, like it's a whole new room.

red, white & blueberry

Saturday, Chris and I went to the Red, White and Blueberry Festival in Ocean Springs and it was HOT. HOT. Sweaty, miserably, stickily, HOT. So sweaty, miserably, stickily hot, in fact that Chris and I only managed to stay an hour... at it was only 11am. Phew. So, I had some trouble picking outfit photos for this post since in half of them I let slip my utter disgust and it showed on my face, haha. I've lived here my entire life and I will never get used to the extreme heat and humidity down here. I just can't function!

At least there were plenty of people serving up homemade blueberry lemonade, and Chris and I even scored some free ice cream topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries. We also got a taco filled with blueberry-marinated pork, cilantro, red onions, tomato and more blueberries!

In addition to some awesome organic blueberries, I bought a loaf of crusty, yummy french bread and a cranberry scone! The blueberry "festival" was simply integrated into the local farmer's market that sets up every weekend in Ocean Springs but that was the first time I'd ever been. I wanted to badly to purchase some of the tomatoes, squash and eggplant, all from local farmers but the heat drained me of the desire to browse any longer than we did. Needless to say, I will be going back, maybe even this weekend to see what I missed.

How was your weekend?
