friday night greek fest

Friday was a much needed night out with friends. We went to Greek Fest and ate delicious Greek food, sat on a curb and split a couple of bottles of wine, and then went to Serda's for coffee and chatter. Even though it was cold, and no one actually at Greek Fest got to see my outfit since it was under a pea coat, I still dressed up! I really like this outfit. I love when I end up putting together an outfit I really like using things I already had in my closet! I had never thought of this combination before, just when I was thinking I had nothing to wear! Get used to seeing this mustard cardigan thought, I absolutely love it! I've been looking for a mustard cardigan for over a year now but just hadn't found one. So when I saw this one @ Target I almost dropped everything to try it on :]

I think I'm going to keep these straight bangs for a while, I'm really starting to like them! Straight bangs seem so "winter" to me for some reason. I guess because they look really cute under a hat :]

I actually went shopping yesterday for the first time in a while! I got a really cute red pea coat from forever 21, and a cute shirt-dress! I've already been wearing the pea coat around, can't wait to show it off :] I also got some smelly-good things from bath and body works. My room smells SO good!

I'm feeling better, so I felt more like dressing cute today and even felt like trimming my bangs last night! I go back and forth between straight and side bangs and can never really decided if I like straight bangs or not. Whenever I trim my bangs, I usually go straight for a day or so and then go right back to side bangs. Which looks better? I can't decide! I think I'll at least stay with the straight bangs for a few days.

Tomorrow is Friday and I am so excited! After work, Chris and I are going to Greek Fest to hang out and eat delicious Greek food! I'm bettin' on gyros and grecian fries! And definitely baklava. Can't go to Greek fest without gettin' those little triangles of heaven. hehe.

Six Flags pictures time! I have to apologize, as most of these pictures were taken with my tiny point-and-shoot while still in the car on the way into the park, so there are some glares here and there. I do love the way my point-and-shoot takes pictures though, so vivid!

The Goliath! It was my first roller coaster since before Katrina hit and wiped out the Six Flags in New Orleans. I forgot how scary they can be! I was so excited before we got on, but by the time I got off, I was terrified! Okay, it wasn't that bad. We rode 2 more roller coasters (the Batman and Superman rides) and the Sky Buckets before we left.

Yea! I was tall enough to ride! Ha, I haven't had that problem in years, but it's nice to know I finally passed that milestone. I saw kids all around the park running up to the measuring sticks and either jump for joy or hunch over in shame.

So many pictures!

work hard, play harder

I am being such a blog-neglector! I'm sorry, but you see, I went out of town Friday, and I actually took pictures of my outfit and brought my laptop along with every intention that I would have the time to make a quick post while on hiatus in Atlanta this weekend. However, I worked hard to leave early, and it appears that I played even harder. Six Flags was fun, although we spent most of our 7 hour stay in the park in line for rides. I guess that's what you get when you wait until the very last weekend of the season to go. And during Fright Fest the day before Halloween. Speaking of Halloween, how was yours? I want to hear stories! My Halloween was spent driving home mostly, although before we left, we did get a chance to shop at the Lenox mall in Buckhead and go to Urban Outfitters... but surprisingly, I didn't find anything worth buying! What's wrong with me?! Anyway. We got home around 8, had to run to the grocery store to get food for the week and ended up crashing and not doing really anything special. And our pumpkins molded and deflated before even a week passed after we carved them! I was so sad! So, the pictures I posted on here are the first and only time they were ever lit :( Sad day! Anyway, this is my outfit that I wore to work on Friday!

I love these mustard tights! We're actually having normal fall temperatures this year, which is really strange for our area but I love it! I celebrated the fall weather by, of course, wearing these tights, a turtleneck and a wool skirt! Despite my best efforts to be warm, I've been a little sick since I got back, thus the lack of outfit posts. I stayed home from work Monday, and yesterday and today I haven't felt much like taking pictures. Hopefully I'll be better tomorrow! I will dress cute Friday no matter what to go to Greek Fest ! I love when Greek Fest comes around, the food is amazing. It starts tomorrow, and I work only about two blocks away, so I plan on getting a head start on Greek food ingesting tomorrow for lunch! Yum! I'm about to upload pictures from my Six Flags trip (although there are only a few, my camera decided to die once we got inside the park) and hopefully I'll upload those in a blog post tomorrow.

'till then!
